Who are you?
Who are you?
Good morning, friends.
Hope, you are all fine.
Got the following forward message yesterday:
Who am I?
If not, why be a Mar Thoma Nazrani?
If I forget my call, I am nothing.
I make mistakes. I am fragile. I fall, fail, fight, cry.
I miss, I am late.
Yet I sail storms, walk into unknown lands.
I may be killed. Still—I will live.
I doubted—but I touched His wounds.
I questioned—but I found the Truth.
I was late—but He waited for me.
Not for pride. Not for titles.
But to live, witness, die, and rise—through Him, with Him, in Him.
He questioned at 12.
He shattered hypocrisy.
Let’s go and die with Him—
for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Light. Love.
My Lord and my God.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
Who are you?
And here is my response:
I hold Thomas very special for his stand on 'faith'. He dared to challenge the one everyone else seemed to believe as the risen Jesus. However, he needed further confirmation to accept and proclaim him as his 'lord and God' (Jn 20:28).
But then, why do people attach this much importance to special and separate identities like 'Mar Thoma Nazrani' rather than being a Christian?
As 'blood is thicker than water', for such people *rite is stronger than faith!*
In this context, we need to heed to Jesus in Mathew 10:37, "He who *loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me*; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me..."
Now, listen to Paul addressing Corinthians in his first letter 1:12-13, "What I mean is that each one of you says, "I belong to Paul," or "I belong to Apol'los," or "I belong to Cephas," or "I belong to Christ." Is Christ divided? *Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?*" Separatists need to know this, i suppose.
To the concluding query, 'Who are you?', my answer is *Am a man first and Christian* next, rather a disciple of Jesus.
Have a great day and stay blessed.
Thanks
