Catholic Priesthood...
Though its origin from Jesus is very much doubtful other than the only and far brought attribution of it to him according to the order of Melchizedek, the lived priesthood appears to be more of parish administration, but for the rather few recent charismatic preachers!
The only prayer or spiritual activity is the daily Eucharist and once in a while administration of sacraments and sacramentals! Even this looks like reading from a book without any spiritual disposition...
He lives, behaves, talks like any other but for his rarely used habit or other vestments... He seemingly doesn't inspire spiritual disposition...
This calls for a change of perception leading to formation to realize Jesus like life regularly interspersed with prayer alone in the hills and wilderness.
Though he lived and moved with everyone, every category his life radiating divinity with its unquestionable authority.
He alone is our model as he asserted, "But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren.
And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ". (Mt 23: 8-10).
We need to practice real poverty and simplicity as a living proof of our sanctity, perfection to which we are called, "You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect". (Mt 5: 48).
